  I am your age,and a parent as well. I can so relate to teaching your kids a certain path, then finding out you were wrong..and having to fix it. you know what? Usually my kids breath a sigh of relief that I admitted my error. Imagine freeing your kids to be normal and accepted in their peer group. Do not fear, but be strong. Rewards await You all.

  hello guys!

  i have been mia for a while, but now i'd like to share my new situation and get some feedback: last year, i was diagnosed with rapid cycling bipolar disorder.

  my husband (who is not a jw) and my very jw family didn't take it seriously.

  Know that you are not alone, even if it feels that way sometimes. You need a support system. Neighbors, friends, support groups. The watchtower or anyone connected to it will not help you. You need friends, and understanding and I am so sorry that Your Mom's "fix" is her hober gawd...

  A physical illness needs a physical solution, not a religious one. I hope You the love and respect that You deserve finds You. Peace and love to you!

  Do you think your leaving makes it easier for others to leave, too?

  i am not trying to minimize the pain and difficulties of leaving the scam (being fortunate never to have belonged to it, in the first place), but i would like to ask people a question.

  have you thought that, if you leave, your friends and family have someone out there who really understands them and could be there for you?.

  on the one hand, your family and friends will shun you, that's for sure.

  I don't wanna ramble on, as I am proned to do..But to me the word dispell means to send away....

  To stop, to seperate yourself or something from....

  To set right...

  That is noble and right to me... Yknot, I would love to have You at my table. I would consider Myself Honored to be in Your company. To read that you need to in any way should need to hide Yourself makes me sad....I make a mean skettie and meatballs Ya know?

  Do You know that You should never as a stagedy "deeply entrench" Yourself? Not behind enemy lines sweetie....Have You ever played chess?

  I know we arent allowed to play as jw's....but my point is this... remove yourself from danger so that You may calculate your next move and not lose more members or be taken yourself.

  At what age should women stop wearing tight jeans!?

  i'm at the grocery store.

  walking ahead of me is this woman with a really nice butt in really tight jeans, small waist, nice hair.

  (yes, guys, even us women notice other women's butts:-) she stops at the dairy section, turns around and i swear she is 60 if not older!

  Clothes are self expression. I have a somewhat nice body for a gal my age and position in life...I like big tees and mens jeans. They fit me better and I don't want sexual attention. I dress for my own comfort. I saw a lady today at a doctors office. She had to be ninety years old. She had a white cloud of hair, in an "Up Do". Obviously pentecostal. Rolled up knee high stockings, sensible shoes...Just like me only different...

  I have friends who are "goth", friends who dress "slutty", who are over fifty, (giggles), friends who can pull off hollywood good looks that dress like paupers.

  Now something really funny is this... Look up "seen at walmart" for good laughs. I think personally, If it aint purty, cover it the flip up, but apparently others don't agree. LOL
